Goran Visnjic appeared in a movie in his native Croatia for free. The ER heartthrob accepted a part in the film Long Dark Night - which will be directed by his father-in-law Antun Vrdoljak.

Vrdoljak was clearly delighted by securing the services of his famous relative, saying, "Goran has a four-year contract with Warner Bros and he is paid in six-digit amounts for every episode. Here we could pay him 10 or 15 thousand pounds, so he reacted as a gentleman and refused to receive any payment."

Goran will play the role of a World War II partisan fighting the Nazi invaders. And he was so committed to making the movie, he missed three episodes of ER while filming in Croatia.
